...Breath and emotions flowing like water.... June 2013 part 1

POLARITY

Do you feel it?

Do you feel the precipice?
….the edge of the cliff...
… the unknown....

Do you feel the transformation happening?

Do you
FEEL
it?

Soften for a moment. Notice the breath. How many times have we lost it since we've started reading this....that's not a judgment....we all do it....it happens when we're stressed, emotional, in danger, speaking, working out, walking, and even eating.....all the time we loose the engagement of the present moment by losing our breath. We begin to react instead of respond. We tend to fall into the thought patterns of the ego.

It sounds more complex than it really is. We learn to soften to the breath... to experience it. To become curious and engaged with it. The more we do, the more natural it becomes. It becomes conscious breathing, drawing us deeper into a mindful state of ease with our experience, our experience with our bodies, minds, and circumstance. That mindful ease is the awareness that allows the beauty of life to unfold... not the shoulds and should nots, the list of rules we regiment with...but the beauty that exists by be-ing, and engaging playfully with the present through response and intuition.

But we must first find and engage the breath.


We become sensitive, soften to become aware, strong enough to show up to play... yes I said play :) We have mistaken effort for struggle and incessant trying. Notice when we're breathing we align naturally with what is. We simply show up....relaxed effort to respond and engage instead of struggle.

Try to pick up that glass of water.... just TRRRYYYY, no hands. Come on try. Now instead of trying, pick up the glass. That seemed almost effortless right. Try again. Didn't work did it ;) Now pick it up. Worked didn't it.

As a culture, we're addicted to effort.

Be. Don't try.
Breathe into the present.


Notice the ability to let go with the breath? The ability to soften the mind and body to prepare to “pick up our glass” whatever that represents to us.

And that starts with nurturing ourselves... our bodies, what we think, what we eat, what we say, how we process emotion and experience, etc....
Because... in our reality, what we have been influenced by, nurturing the self and allowing ourselves to feel....well, that's just nonesense, waste of time. Tapping into our inner Self? Waste of time...
How many times have we heard that!
